The creativity competition for Festas de Lisboa’14 Sardines is now open!

Once again, the sardines will be the ‘stars’ of Festas de Lisboa communications campaign. The applications are available below, on the digital form (see tutorial). The competition closes on the 7th of March 2014.

Seven sardines will be awarded.

Each winner proposal will get a 2000€ prize (tax free).

What’s the competition’s closing date?

The competition closes on the 7th of March at 6 p.m.. Until then, you can send us your sardines. Please, read attentively the regulation here.

I don’t have an email, can I still apply?

Yes, you can. However, you’ll have to come to EGEAC’s central office, Monday to Friday, from 9,30 a.m. to 6 p.m., so we can process your application. You’ll have to bring with you your proposals, ready to be submitted.

I’m underage, may I still apply?

Yes, you may. However, you’ll have to ask your legal guardian to apply with you. Please make sure you’ll choose the “underage” option when registering.

I have an underage child, what should I do?

You’ll have to register together, although the candidate will be the underage child.

Which data will I need, being underage?

Underage candidates will need their data (name, ID card/passport number, email, etc.), as well as the legal guardian’s name, email address and telephone contact. The emails of the candidate and of the legal guardian will have to be different.

Does my underage child need an email address to apply?

Yes, you’ll need to have two different email addresses: one for the underage candidate and another one for the legal guardian.

How can I send you my sardine?

After register on the website, and completing the application, the candidate may present its proposals by one of the following routes:

  • a) digitally, attached to the application.
  • b) via postal service, with registry and postal notice, addressed as it follows:

  • “Concurso Sardinhas Festas de Lisboa’14
    (ID number – this will be given to you via email when you register your proposal)
    EGEAC – Empresa de Gestão de Equipamentos e Animação Cultural, E.M.,
    Palácio Marquês de Tancos

    1100-340 Lisboa”

    The postage stamp will be our reference for the proposals acceptance regarding the deadline.

  • c) hand delivery, at our central office, Monday to Friday, from 9,30 a.m. to 6 p.m., addressed as it follows:

    (ID number – this will be given to you via email when you register your proposal)”

    May I send you my proposal via postal service?

    Yes, you may. After register on the website, and completing the application, you can send us the sardine via postal service. Please make sure you mark the sardine and the envelope with the ID number given to you via email when submitting the proposal (only with this number we can successfully conclude your application). The proposals should be sent with registry and postal notice, addressed as it follows:

    I want to send my three proposals via postal service inside the same envelope, may I do it?

    Yes, you may. You’ll have to identify each sardine with its ID number, as well as to write the three ID numbers on the envelope.

    I’m applying with three sardines, two of them on digital format and the third one manual, how can I do this?

    Each proposal is submitted individually. Please make sure that, regarding your sardine which is manual,
    you’ll answer “YES” on the item “The sardine will be send by postal service or delivered in person”. As well as that you’ll answer “NO” regarding your digital sardines.

    My sardine is digital, which formats and file sizes are allowed?

    The digital proposals should be presented as JPEG/JPG files (size up to 50 MB), on a format A3 (42 x 29,7 cm) and a resolution of 300 dpi; the video proposals should be presented as MPEG/MPG or MOV files (size up to 50 MB).

    How many sardines may I submit?

    Each applicant may only submit a maximum of three proposals. For each one of them, an application form should be filled in.

    How can I alter a sardine I’ve already submitted?

    If you’ve submitted your sardine digitally, you can change it while the competition is on, logging in on the website (using your registered data), and accessing “My Sardines”. There, viewing each proposal, you can alter the previous submitted file.

    I didn’t win and I’d like to have back my proposal, what can I do?

    If your proposal has not been selected, you can reclaim it from the 1st to the 31st October. Please write to us via info@festasdelisboa.com in order to book an appointment at EGEAC, Palácio Marquês de Tancos, Calçada Marquês de Tancos, nº2, 1100-340 Lisboa.
    The proposals that have not been reclaimed within the time limit referred above become EGEAC’s property.

    Which prize does the winner receive?

    Each winner proposal will receive €2.000 (tax free).

    When will the winner be announced?

    The winner will be announced until 15th of May 2014 on the competition’s website and its Facebook page. The winners will be informed by email or telephone.

    Is it possible, for a company, association, etc, to join the competition?

    Yes, it is, as long as it is a legal person.
    Like all the natural persons (individuals), the legal person should register on the website first (filling in all the requested fields) and applying after doing so (maximum of three proposals). Where the Identity Card/Passport number is requested, the Tax Payer number should be repeated.

    May a school apply?

    Yes, a school, being legal person, may apply to the competition. It may do it by one of the following routes:

    1- The school applies as a legal person (being only able to submit three proposals). Please see the legal persons application details here.
    2- Each student applies as an underage child, being the teacher, school director, parent responsible (filling in the fields requested to legal guardians). The school project may be referenced under ‘observations’.
